EVELYN BRIDGES
POETRY CONTEST

This year’s contest will be judged by poet Jim Moore.
	
RULES

1. Poems may be of any form, versification (including free verse), genre 
(lyric, dramatic, narrative, etc.), and topic.  Poems must be written in 
English, though words and phrases from other languages may be used.

2. You may submit one to ten poems, as long as the total number of lines 
does not exceed five hundred.  The awards will be made on the basis of the 
quality of all the poetry that each person submits.

3. Please number the pages, use print dark enough to be legible, check 
spelling and punctuation. Margins must be 1 ½ inch margin at left and 1 inch 
margin at right, top and bottom. Include your pseudonym on the first page of 
each poem.

4. TO SUBMIT YOUR WORK: Save your entry as a PDF. The document name should 
be your pseudonym. Send the PDF as an e-mail ATTACHMENT to: 
ppyne@coloradocollege.edu. In the body of your e-mail include your 
pseudonym, your real name, and your Worner Box number.

5. The deadline for submitting poems is Friday, March 10, at 4:00 pm.

6. The winners will be announced at the reading by Peter Behrens on 
Thursday, April 6, at 7:00 pm in Gaylord Hall.

7. Winning poems may be printed in Leviathan.  Your entry in the contest 
implies your permission.
