Dear all,

This block in the Faculty Commons, enjoy the following between 4:00 and
6:00:

2006 Yalumba, "Y Series" Viognier, South Australia
VintageSpec Notes: The nose resembles a rocky waterfall, wet stones, sharp
minerals, layered with delightful tropical fruit; papaya, kiwi, guava, and
citrus. The palate pulls forth the crisp and lush qualities of the aroma,
delighting your mouth with freshness. (SH 3.0)

2004 Vega Sindoa, Cabernet Sauvignon/Tempranillo, Navarra, Spain,
VintageSpec Notes: Plums, berries, licorice this is unquestionably a
cab-based wine. A lovely, well-knit nose of dark fruits, leather and
anise,
then more dark fruits and cracked black pepper on the palate.
Well-structured, with good, ripe tannins. Drink now-2012. (AEM 3.0)

2005 License, Zinfandel, California
VintageSpec Notes: A raspberry fruit bomb, from start to finish. Made in
an Australian style, with low acid and loads of sweet oak, even with some
strawberry flavors buried in there. Long sweet finish no tannins to
speak
of. Really delightful, if a touch vapid. (AEM 2.5+)

There may be some left overs from last block as well:

2005 Berger, Grüner Veltliner, Austria
VintageSpec Notes: Deep white grape aromas, flinty and minerally but
without any harsh edge soft pears and a touch of citrus. Good finish
with
lingering nectarine/peach flavors. (AEM 3.5)

1999 Red Earth, Cabernet Sauvignon, Coonawarra, Australia
VintageSpec Notes: Blood-garnet color, soft mouthfeel, very merlot-like
without and harsh edges. Nice flavors and aromas of red fruits, cracked
pepper, dusty minerality and with slight tannins. Drinks well right now.
(AEM 2.5+)

2005 Cuatro Pasos, Mencia, Bierzo, Spain
VintageSpec Notes: Packs a wallop. Deep plums, with tobacco and leather
overtones, and vanilla from the oak. Mencia is the local name for Cab
Franc,
and this carries that varietalıs charcteristic greenish tannins, which are
very nicely integrated into the wine. Long finish drink 2007-2010.
(AEM
3.0)
