Possible Experience:
This is a new data integrity report related to the implementation of Advancement Performance. This report is scheduled to run on the third Wednesday of each month. A link will be delivered to the Gift Records Specialist.
Change Detail:
The report It looks for third party pledge payments that will produce errors in the Advancement Performance load.
Since the logic to identify these records is still being refined, the report also returns false positive gift numbers that have been entered on the prompt page to be excluded from the output. Additional gift numbers can be saved in the Report View, if necessary.
This gift record condition is created by the posting of a Third party payment, made by a person with a split credit spouse, for a non-person pledge.
Reason:
Banner allows one gift to pay a third party pledge via a memo credit record while a split credit record also exists without reference to the pledge being paid, also exists. Advancement Performance interprets the gift as both an outright gift and a pledge payment. A defect report has been entered with Ellucian.
Action: Colorado College's workaround is to enter the Third-Party Pledge Number in split-credit records. The report email contains more detail, including the following instruction:
Resolve the error by adding the 3PP_PLEDGE_NO to the Split Credit recipient, listed in the report as XREF_NAME. The Split credit recipient, must first have either memo or split credit on the pledge.
