The First-Generation Collegiate Program is an initiative by The Butler Center that provides support to CC students whose parents or guardians
have not receive a 4-year degree from a U.S. college or university. The program consists of a blockly luncheon on
3rd Thursday for first-generation students, staff and faculty which is usually centered
around a theme or topic of particular interest to first-generation college students.
During this academic year, in addition to the blockly luncheons, we are also pairing
students with a Butler Center advisor and a CC faculty or staff mentor who is a first-generation college graduate! 1st Gen students will have the opportunity to
meet with their First-Gen mentors blockly.
We hope you will email Pearl Leonard-Rock to
sign up.
