Dear Chairs and Directors:

Thank you for an inspiring and productive meeting on Monday. I look forward to working with you to continue to streamline our processes and find good ways to exchange information.





  *   Sabbatical requests: Along with your colleague’s sabbatical request, please include a short statement that you have discussed the proposal with your colleague and that you support it. Please give me more details in your chairs and information form (due 29 November) about how your department will manage the absence—reallocation of classes, visitor blocks, rescheduling, etc.

  *   We will re-start the distribution by email a  Deans’ Office newsletter at the end of every block. This newsletter will include updates from the cabinet conversations, key date reminders, and other information that faculty might find useful.

  *   We will use the Chairs and Directors listserv to continue conversations on issues such as the Block Plan review. I’m currently looking at past studies and recommendations.
