* Aim for 1 unit for every 2 faculty you have. We know some departments who do heavy service at the entry level courses cannot do that. So, do not stress out about this. But a general goal for 1 course: 2 faculty is a good place to start; If your department can, offer more than the 1:2 ratio.

3. Academic Wayfinding and Pathways in your Department: improve recruitment and student learning and thriving in your department (via Stellic) – workshop time to plan. For new(er) chairs, you might find the Boyer Report’s (pp.11-24) emphasis on interdisciplinarity and humanities important – “World Readiness” and high impact learning is what is distinct about our liberal arts commitment.
